FACET INJURY

Recent research has revealed that the most common form of injury for patients suffering chronic neck pain following a "whiplash" is damage to the cervical facet (or zygapophyseal) joints. However it appears that this information has remained largely unknown both inside and outside the medical community.

This website aims to play a small part in publicising this information. Illustrating how patients with chronic pain can get an answer to the cause of their pain and a solution to eliminate their pain.

The Self Diagnostic page takes patients through some simple questions to assess the likelihood of facet damage as the cause of their pain.

The Procedures page briefly outlines the treatment available to accurately show which joint(s) are damaged and eliminate the pain from them for on average 12-14 months.

The Find a Doctor page allows you to search worldwide for a doctor able to perform the required procedures.

The Links page lets you go to other sites with information on this subject and read research and studies.

The FAQs page answers many of the questions commonly asked about the information on this site.
